Tiny teasers Herve and Tatu hold on to the No. 1 spot for a twenty-fourth consecutive week. Is it a slow time for good new singles or is it just the stream of continual "controversial" statements from Tatu's manager about how it's all a cynical marketing ploy and how all he wants is your cash? Well, very possibly. This week the little fellers hold off a resplendent Justin Timberland who is seriously contemplating dressing in a school uniform and pigtails himself to hit the top spot. Can Tatu make it a twenty-fifth week at the top next week? (A feat no act has achieved since Jonathan King in 1908)?

Now they have rereleased the classic tATu single "Why Do People Have to Fight?", by Herve Villechez as a plea to Bush and Blair to end this stupid war business! Listen to the single here:

Herve was born in Pepsicola, West Russia. His parents wished for a child for so long that the spirit of the forest blessed them with a tiny child named Tom Thumb. When he died after being eaten by a giant gnat they created Herve from the dead mite's DNA. He was an only child until they decided to create Tatu to keep him company. He expects good personal hygiene and honesty.

Hobbies: mole-strangling, carpentry, troubadoring.

Tatu was born on Fantasy Island, while Herve and his parents were on holiday. They wished for something to keep Herve quiet about de planes and Tatu appeared. Unfortunately he too gets rather excited about de planes and found a career planespotting for de boss of the the island. Their parents disowned them and they have now released their first album on which their cynical manipulative manager has them pretending to be two underaged and oversexed lesbian schoolgirls which is fine by Herve and Tatu. They live on Fantasy Island after all and a midget's got to make a living! He is quiet, calm and does sums. His favourite colour is peuce. He sings and plays ukelele. He demands good table manners in a person.
